The Mackinac Bridge opened in 1957 connecting the Lower and Upper Peninsula of the State of Michigan. The bridge is the longest suspension bridge (at 26,372 feet long) between ports in the Western Hemisphere. We love the stunning views and the ease of access for everyone in Michigan to come visit us on Mackinac Island.
