Wedding bells seem to be ringing on a regular basis this season. And Murdick’s “sweets for sweethearts” have never been more plentiful or delicious.
According to wedding-industry statistics, the most popular month for weddings is June. August, May, July, September and October follow June as the months in which most weddings occur, in order of popularity. And those are exactly the months that we are open and turning out fresh sweets daily.
These past few weeks (we opened officially on May 1), we’ve been consulting with various event and wedding planners as well as brides and grooms. We’re helping them with their wedding offerings as they select one of the sweetest of experiences for their big-day guests — our Original Murdick’s Fudge SweetBar, brimming with everything from taffy and toffee to brittle, caramel corn and, naturally, Pure Michigan fudge!

A favorite option is the Mackinac Island SweetBar, which includes bite-size fudge and English toffee served on a marble slab; and jars and baskets of treats from which guests can scoop their own brittle (peanut, cashew and pecan), taffy and caramel corn into their own bag.
This option also includes a take-home, 1/2-pound slice of fudge favor (choose from some 16 flavors, including Chocolate Peanut Butter and Double Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt), in an iconic Original Murdick’s Fudge box, or a ¼-pound piece of fudge in a personalized 3- by 3-inch white box.

♥ A couple of recent memorable SweetBar and SweetFavor projects include one at Mackinac Island’s Mission Point Resort that was island-classic all the way … and another for a metro Detroit wedding that featured a Gatsby-esque theme. That particular bride and groom were all about 1920s glamour and we at Original Murdicks Fudge came through with elegant packaging adorned with a few elements of which The Great Gatsby’s Daisy and Jay would approve!

What a wonderful idea! I wish I had a wedding or event to plan so I could use this perfect idea.!! Will keep it mind just in case and will probably be ordering some fudge soon since my freezer seems to be empty.

Just had a wedding August 26 tho with 100 boxes of Murdick’s fudge with 4 different flavors! It was wonderful! Nothing better and they were great to work with! Why have cake!?
