We “gotta” have art here at Original Murdick’s Fudge, and there’s no place on earth more inspiring for artists than on idyllic Mackinac Island, where we have three fudge shops.
We and area artists feel we’re the luckiest folks in the world, thanks to expansive Great Lakes waters, West Michigan sunsets, a vibrant boating scene, postcard-perfect horse-drawn carriages and blooms upon blooms, garden after garden. A true feast for the eyes is this northern Michigan Straits of Mackinac island!
This year, we’ve unveiled our new five-slice, art-adorned package that leads your eye to the hustle-bustle of our painterly harbor. One glance at Grand Rapids-based artist Noel Skiba’s sailboat scene on our five-slice box, and you’ll feel you are dockside, taking in all the colorful sails as they glide into the island’s welcoming harbor.
Skiba creates impressionistic works of the island’s cottages, gardens, street scenes and lakeside vistas. On our current box, she portrayed a scene for us that captures the annual Bell’s Bayview Mackinac Race from Port Huron, as the many sailboats and competitors cross the finish line and find harbor here on beautiful Mackinac Island.
Anchors aweigh, fudge-loving mateys!
And remember, our online sweets store is open for your next fudge and brittle craving. Keep your crew happy with our handcrafted, gluten-free treats and you’re sure to have smooth sailing ahead. Order from 18 fudge flavors and three types of brittle here.
