Mackinac Island has been a popular escape for generations. Recently our beloved “Jewel of the Great Lakes” has garnered an impressive collection of accolades — or shall we say, “Mack-olades” — including the latest, from USA TODAY:

Original Murdick’s Fudge is proud to be part of Mackinac Island’s history as the first fudge maker on the island. Visitors enjoy watching us make fudge and peanut brittle today using the same old fashioned methods from 1887.
Here’s looking to another year full of moments, memories, fun, and fudge. Plan a visit to Mackinac Island and see what the hype is all about!

It is wonderful that a successful business maintains the quality and practices that it was started with! Stay on the same path, and thank you for your delicious fudge!

Just the smell entering the store keeps me going, and check (meaning taste) a piece of fudge. The great thing about Murdick’s Fudge is ….I DON’T CARE what kind of fudge I have.
At murdick’s there’s NO bad fudge. Although I’m born, raised, and still live in Belgium, I traveled a lot through the US professionally, and for pleasure.
During these travels, I learned about the American fudge. Some say it’s a brownie, it’s chocolate mousse or whatever….NO! This is FUDGE, real US Fudge :-), do not mistake!
We have great chocolate in Belgium, but FUDGE, nothing compared to that very special texture, different tastes, all the fresh stuff…..a real delightful piece of sweet EVERYBODY should taste it at least once in a lifetime.
My good friend James Dow, who lives in Indian Wells CA, brings me every year some fudge, when he comes over to Belgium.
When it comes to fudge, I’d love to be a Belgian professional….
